Warwickshire Drug & Alcohol Action Team
Drugs awareness campaigns
We were approached by the client to devise a campaign that could be used in both National Drugs Awareness Week and their involvement in the anti-drugs policing at the local ‘Global Gathering’ festival.
As the target audience for both campaigns was primarily young people, we designed a host of concepts that played around with the slang words for the effects of drug usage. The final concept selected for use was the ‘Cabbaged’ idea shown here, which was used across various media to promote their involvement in National Drugs Awareness Week. The cabbage proved to be so popular that he was christened ‘Colin’ and became a figurehead on the organisation’s website.
For the ‘Global Gathering’ festival, the concept was expanded to the ‘Jellyhead’ idea pictured, which was used around the anti-drugs areas of the festival site.
“All of the agency gave us 100%, and the experience of working with a clear yet creative and thought-provoking team will definitely result in more tendering opportunities coming their way.”
